Dual Language Teaching
Our school is unique in our area, in that we offer a dual-language Spanish and English immersion programme. What does this mean for the child? Through project-based learning, and with Spanish and English speaking teachers in the classroom, they will develop the ability to read, write and speak in both languages. Neuroscience research has shown that studying a second language, apart from the obvious advantages of speaking two languages, increases brain density and cognitive skills. These cognitive benefits lead to improved working memory and increased attention, as well as a boost to problem-solving abilities for students. By developing bilingualism and biliteracy in a multicultural environment, you will be providing your child with many benefits and educational options in their future educational pursuits.
